Update 4 Years Later
It is wonderful to pop on here and see almost 5,000 views of my blog I created some 4-5 years ago. Sadly life crept in with raising our wonderful children, and after hubby and I started running our own mobile auto glass replacement and repair business I just never had time to continue what I had started here. But I thought today is the day I will at least let anyone who is interested know how my journey has turned out...so far:
Well, I am so blessed to say that at almost 50 years of age, I have found THE MOST AMAZING doctor. She is such a gift from GOD! She has me on this journey to health that I have never experienced before with any doctor- EVER! Her name is Paige and I love love love her :)
When I came to her, I had all the symptoms of thyroid. I had gained so much weight I was miserable. No matter what I had done, eat or didn't eat, exercised, or not... the weight and bulk just kept coming! I was in tears most of the time! And to make matters worse, the dr I had been seeing, died unexpectedly so for 3 years I was looking and looking for the "RIGHT" doctor and not finding one! So I was not on ANY hormones other than an Xymogen's Progesterone and Estrogen that I was able to purchase without a prescription. I know that using these definitely put my body out of balance - out of whack for sure!! But out of desperation I was willing to do just this to keep at bay; migraines, hot flashes, insomniac, vision, body pains, dryness, freezing cold, numb fingers, heart palpations, anxiety, depression, no libido, exhaustion, aging, etc etc Worst of all was the gagging and choking and not being able to swallow well, and not being able to take any vitamins (could not swallow). MIND YOU, since they are not prescriptions I did do more harm than good.
Proof was in the blood and stool tests (she used AEL and Doctors Data Inc): I did not have thyroid...my adrenals were shot. GONE! That will show up as thyroid symptoms! My throat, was swollen and so very very dry all the time! Turns out adrenals will do that. Plus I had strept in my gut! My gut, it was built up there basically all my life from taking so many many pills for my tonsils. Strept throat, tonsillitis, pharengitis, bronchitis, ear infections, etc all my young life. And that strept was in my gut.
Tests also showed I had zero, nada, no Testosterone whatsoever!! I had a tiny amount of Estrogen and Progesterone. I was Very deficient in key vitamins; Magnesium, Vitamin D3, Vitamin B2, B12, Zinc, and DHEA. I had Mixidema, was borderline anemic, and my body and my cells was not able accept nutrients - so I was nutrient deficient. Basically a mess! She immediately gave me an IV of Vitamin D3 and another "cocktail"...WOW instant feel good! Plus she prescribed from a compounding customize pharmacy (meaning all bioidentical hormones (bhrt, no horse urine):
Estrogen, pink top-click, Progesterone pills at night, Testosterone vaginally inserted at bedtime!
So Paige put me on 30 days of Zithromiacin, Nystatin, and Diflucan. She said it was to remove and then rebuild my gut first and foremost. Then she had me drink different powder mixes; Ultraflamx, and GlutAloeMine. Taking; Ultra Flora Probiotic, Krill Oil, COQ10, Digestive Enzymes, One N Only multiple, Melatonin, Herbal Adrenal Drops, Replete B, Vitamin C powder, Jigsaw, Magnesium lotion and Liquid Remag. She also put me on a "Smart Diet" which I was horrified to read meant no coffee and not shrimp, lobster, crab etc... The rest I had no issues with.
So I took everything in phases (adding each phase upon another). I also started juicing after I saw "Fat Sick and Nearly Dead by Joe" movie. And well here is my results:
Libido, Dryness, etc: Hubby is happy and so am I. (Male and Female- we GOTTA have Hormone Replacement!!)
Throat, choking, dryness: I swallow pills easily and choking is gone.
Weight, Mixedima, bulk: Woohoo dropping pounds daily - and that is with no exercising!
Gut, heartburn, bloated, etc: slimming down, heartburn gone, no bloat.
Migraines-Gone, I have Energy, I am sleeping, no hot flashes, sweats, or cold flashes, I am not moody, I don't suffer from heart paplations, I am not always sick after eating, I feel young, and hopeful and I have ideas and creativity just popping in my head (instead of forgetting my kids names lol). I feel like I am useful to God, that HE can use me instead of me just wanting to nap!!
Basically, it all boils down to this, finding the right doctor who will listen to you, and then prayerfully takes his or her knowledge to GOD and then lets your blood "speak" to what the doctor felt led to test that confirms to (her/him) what he/she thought was wrong with you in the first place! That doctor has to know that a little pill or a regular blood test or stool test will not work! It has to be from those cutting edge doctors. The anti-aging, the out of the box doctor.
Unfortunately, and usually it will be the tests that your insurance will NOT cover! It will be the doctor that does NOT accept insurance. Believe me I have tried both! And I even had to wait 3 years to afford one that didn't...But Paige was worth it! She has done more for me in a month than 20 years of "other" doctors! Esp one that recommended my hysterectomy in the first place!
Its a big long story as to why insurance is not covered, it has to do with FDA, big Pharma, etc but thats for another post some time. Suffice it to say that it may cost you more up front and do be careful there are those that tout that they are that type of doctor and all they want is your money. But the ones that are not, that have the heart of Christ, that care and are not out to gouge you...they are out there!! And if you keep praying GOD will bring you to that perfect doctor who is out there for you!!
In the meantime it is your job to educate yourself. You MUST know what they are talking about so that you will be of like mind when your appointment of several hours is taking place.
